Why it is used: The sweet, creamy tone of vanilla.
Where you usually find it: Perfumes, body lotions, lip balms, candles.
Role in the fragrance: Base note, part of amber and gourmand accords.

Added to Annex III by Regulation (EU) 2023/1545: listed in the ingredients above 0.001% (leave-on) and 0.01% (rinse-off products). Products that did not comply could be placed on the market until 31 July 2026 and may be made available until 31 July 2028.
