Base notes

Underlined notes have a page in the Note Atlas.

A men’s fragrance from Kenzo, launched in 1991 and composed by Christian Mathieu. The pyramid pairs a “watery” ozonic opening with green fennel, spice and a broad woody-mossy base.

In terms of perfumery history it represents the aquatic and ozonic fragrances, which are built from synthetic molecules – the sea cannot be distilled.
